‘The Wizarding World of Ballet’ performance set April 19-20

Two-act show inspired by ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’ novel
April 10, 2024

Grab your cloaks and wands, and head to Cape High April 19-20 for a two-act ballet inspired by J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” performed by the students of DanceCompany-X.

Artistic Director and Choreographer Michele Xiques Arnold said more than 30 area dancers are participating in “The Wizarding World of Ballet,” including Cape district students Amelia and Evangeline Bickel, and all sets have been created by local artists.

The show was originally planned to take place in 2020, Arnold said, but was canceled due to the pandemic. All ages will enjoy the performance, Arnold said, and anyone dressed in wizard attire will be invited on stage for a photo with the cast after the show.

Tickets are $15 for general seating. The show will take place at Cape High at 7 p.m., Friday, April 19, and 2 p.m., Saturday, April 20. To buy tickets, go to brownpapertickets.com.

DanceCompany-X is located at 107 S. Maple Ave, Milford. Call 302-422-2633 or go to danceco-x.com for more information.
