Bayhealth honors retiring foundation board members

February 12, 2024

The Bayhealth Foundation announced Cassandra Humphrey-Jenkins and Louie Phillips, who have served on the board since 2015, have completed their years of service as dedicated board members whose contributions have been invaluable.

Humphrey-Jenkins, a physician liaison at Bayhealth, has been an integral part of the foundation's success. Her expertise and insights have greatly influenced the organization's strategic initiatives. Phillips, the board secretary and retired senior director of the cardiovascular service line at Bayhealth, has also played a crucial role in advancing the foundation's mission.

One of the highlights of their tenure was their active involvement in the foundation's golf tournaments. Their commitment to these events helped raise significant funds to help fight breast cancer and support Bayhealth’s Cancer Institute. Additionally, both Humphrey-Jenkins and Phillips were instrumental in the successful campaign for the Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus, which opened in 2019.

"Cassandra and Louie, both Bayhealth team members when they began their service on the Bayhealth Foundation Board, have brought unique, valuable perspectives to our work,” said Lindsay A. Rhodenbaugh, DMin., Bayhealth Foundation president. “They have the sincere thanks and admiration of everyone on the Bayhealth Foundation board for their nine years of exemplary service."

Fellow Bayhealth Foundation board members are immensely grateful for the dedication and commitment shown by Humphrey-Jenkins and Phillips. Their contributions have made a lasting impact on the organization and the community it serves.
