Cupcake decorating to benefit Georgetown library April 27

April 13, 2024

The aroma of fresh-baked goodies will fill the air as the Georgetown Public Library hosts a cupcake decorating fundraiser from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, April 27, at 123 West Pine St., Georgetown.

Attendees are invited to unleash their inner pastry chefs and adorn their own cupcakes with an array of frostings, toppings and decorations. From sprinkles to decor, the possibilities are endless. Participants can let their imaginations run wild as they craft edible masterpieces while contributing to a worthy cause.

Jeannie Biamby, owner of Biamby Sweet Treats, will guide attendees with step-by-step instructions so they leave the event knowing they can decorate a cupcake like the pros.

"We are thrilled to host our cupcake decorating fundraiser," said Meghan Palazzo, Georgetown Public Library assistant director. "It's a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, have fun and make a positive impact."

Tickets are $40. No experience is necessary, and no baking will be involved. Each ticket includes 12 cupcakes, piping bags, buttercream frosting, sprinkles and live instruction in a fun and relaxing environment. Participants can bring home their finished work in a box to enjoy or give as a gift.

Proceeds will be used to support book and media purchases, and library programs.

Tickets must be purchased in advance. To sign up for temporary registration, go to delawarelibraries.libcal.com/event/11963080. For seats to be reserved, the library must receive payment in person by cash, check or credit card.
