A Georgetown man faces charges after police say he stole construction tools from a Felton home March 29.

Delaware State Police spoke with a homeowner, 62, after he said several construction tools had been stolen from his house while it was undergoing renovations. Police say they determined Adam Prettyman, 36, an employee of the homeowner who also owns a construction company, stole the items and later pawned them. After issuing a warrant for Prettyman’s arrest, police said, they arrested him March 31 and charged him with felony theft under $1,500 when the victim is 62 or older, felony theft over $1,500, theft by false pretense, falsifying business records, and selling stolen property under $1,500.

Prettyman was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7, and released on a $3,500 unsecured bond.
