Girl Scouts exec to speak to AAUW April 18

April 11, 2024

The Coastal Georgetown Branch of the American Association of University Women will meet at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 18, at Big Fish Grill, Rehoboth Beach.

Guest speaker will be Tiffany Klotz, director of programs and partnerships for the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay. Klotz coordinates with outside organizations, businesses and higher education institutions, developing partnerships to connect girls with subject matter experts and help them get hands-on experiences in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics), life skills, entrepreneurship and outdoor life.

The first Delmarva Peninsula Girl Scout troop was founded more than 100 years ago. With nearly 4,000 girls supported by 2,400 adult volunteers, Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay helps girls discover their strengths, passions and talents. Today, it continues the Girl Scout mission of building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place, and giving them a chance to do something amazing.
