The Gullfoss waterfalls in Iceland provide stunning views while reading the Cape Gazette

October 18, 2023

At the end of July, John and Christine Lodge of Nassau Grove in Lewes traveled to Iceland for a 10-day land and sea excursion. Outside of Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, they visited the Gullfoss waterfalls. The Hvítá river flows southward, and about a kilometer above the falls, it turns sharply to the west and flows down into a wide curved three-step staircase, and then abruptly plunges in two stages into a rugged canyon. The Cape Gazette provided a taste of home while John and Christine were traveling.
