HIV Consortium seeks Red Ribbon Award nominations by Feb. 23

February 18, 2024

Delaware HIV Consortium is looking for community involvement in its 19th annual WOW! Awards Gala. For the second time in the event's history, DHC is asking for public participation in naming the honorees to be recognized with a prestigious WOW! Red Ribbon Award during the event.

DHC bestows Red Ribbon Awards upon individuals, corporations and organizations for displaying excellence in community leadership, service, volunteerism and philanthropy in the field of HIV in Delaware.

In the previous 18 years of hosting its WOW! Awards Gala, DHC has presented more than 150 WOW! Red Ribbon Awards to recipients including elected officials such as  U.S. Sen. Chris Coons, Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, Gov. Jack Markell and Lt. Gov. Bethany Hall-Long; nonprofit leaders Brother Ronald Giannone and Ruth Lytle-Barnaby; and community-minded private institutions M-A-C AIDS Fund, Highmark Delaware and Walgreens.

Any member of the public may submit a nomination for consideration through Sunday, Feb. 23, by emailing tcoyle@delawarehiv.org. Any individual, corporation, nonprofit or other organization contributing to Delaware's HIV or related community is eligible. For each nomination, the public should include the nominee’s name and a brief biography detailing why they should receive a WOW! Red Ribbon Award.

Awardees will be honored in a ceremony during the WOW! Awards Gala & Auction Friday, April 19, at Hockessin Memorial Hall.
