The Listening Booth to open Coastal Highway location

April 3, 2024

The Listening Booth music venue and local community hub announced its upcoming relocation to a new, spacious site at 18388 Coastal Highway, Suite 11, Lewes.

"We're incredibly excited to embark on this new chapter for The Listening Booth," said Marissa Lerer, owner. "The move to Lewes presents us with an opportunity to not only accommodate more guests but also to offer additional amenities and services that will enrich the experience for our patrons and musicians."

The new venue will boast a seating capacity of over 100 people, providing ample space for guests to enjoy live performances in a comfortable setting while maintaining the intimate concert experience audiences have grown to love. It also will feature a fully equipped kitchen to provide delectable food and beverages during events.

A workshop room will offer dynamic space for group educational sessions and music classes. With expanded facilities for private lessons, the Listening Booth team aims to foster musical talent and creativity within the local community.

In addition to hosting live performances and educational events, the versatile space will be available for rental, catering to a diverse range of occasions including weddings, parties and corporate meetings. The Listening Booth invites individuals and organizations to consider the venue for their upcoming events, promising a memorable experience for all attendees.

"We envision the new location as not just a music venue but a vibrant community space where people can come together to celebrate, learn and connect through the power of music," said Lerer.

The Listening Booth anticipates opening the doors to its new location in early summer, with plans to kick off the season with a spectacular event featuring a prominent artist to be announced soon. Offering audiences an opportunity to experience the magic of live music in an exciting new setting, all shows starting in June will take place at the new venue in Lewes.

The Listening Booth, along with its nonprofit arm We’re Listening, has launched a capital campaign as well as a naming and dedication campaign. Representatives will be selling sponsorship rights to chairs and all kinds of creative fixtures in the new venue. Supporters have the option to put their names on a vinyl record label and have that record permanently encased in resin on the floor or bar of the new Listening Booth.
