Lewes planning group meets March 20
The Lewes Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, at the Rollins Center.
The panel will take comments on the remand of certain proposed conditions of approval and waivers for the proposed Henlopen Bluff subdivision.
LPC will hold its regular monthly meeting immediately following the hearing.
That agenda includes discussion and possible recommendation to mayor and council on a potential ordinance for accessory dwelling units.
Lewes beach group to meet March 21
The Lewes Johnnie Walker Beach Subcommittee will meet at 5 p.m., Thursday, March 21, at city hall.
The agenda includes an update, discussion and possible action on a ground-penetrating radar study of the beach.
The Lewes African American Heritage Commission meeting that usually follows at 6 p.m. has been canceled.
Lewes Open Space panel to meet
The Lewes Planning Commission’s Open Space Subcommittee will meet at 1 p.m., Friday, March 22, at the Rollins Center.
The group is scheduled to further discuss the definitions of open space.
VIA and Beebe to present health symposium March 21
The Village Improvement Association and Beebe Population Health will present a symposium on stroke awareness, healthy eating and cardiovascular health from 1 to 3 p.m, Thursday, March 21, at the VIA Clubhouse, 415 N. Boardwalk, Rehoboth Beach. Speakers will be Thomas Trobiano, executive director of cardiovascular health, and Sharon Mack, director of the Beebe Be Well program. After the presentation, Beebe nurses will provide free health screenings including blood pressure, blood sugar and total cholesterol. The public is invited to this free program.
