Panetta announces run for Lewes BPW

March 19, 2024

Since I was first elected as a director of the Lewes Board of Public Works six years ago, I have been impressed by how well the five board members have effectively worked together and in close cooperation with the general manager and his staff, who are all professional and customer focused. The various backgrounds, experience, skill sets (engineers, environmental science and finance) and work ethic of the board members has been beneficial to learn from and to address the difficult decisions concerning the various issues that are involved in successfully running the operations of the four utilities of the BPW. No matter how each director may have voted, the final decisions have been respected and supported by all the directors.

There are, as you may know, three director positions up for election this year Saturday, May 11. I will be running again along with two other current directors.

In the near future, I will be providing a vision of what I believe should be the priorities and goals for the BPW.

Thomas Panetta
President
Lewes Board of Public Works
