Register by March 29 for statement ring jewelry-making class

Heidi Lowe Gallery is offering a statement ring jewelry-making class as a fun, fulfilling way for participants to be creative, work with their hands and learn something new.

In this four-session class, students will learn the basics of metalsmithing, design and more as they create their own hollow silver statement ring with a set stone. Skills such as filing, sanding, soldering and polishing will be covered, as well as forming, roller printing and stone setting.

The class will meet from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Thursdays, April 4, 11, 18 and 25, in the Heidi Lowe Gallery studio at 119 Front St., Lewes. The four-session course costs $400 per student. The fee includes the materials and a stone.

Registration closes Friday, March 29. No experience is necessary. Participants must be at least 13 years old, and students must be able to easily go up and down stairs, because the studio is in the basement.
