Rehoboth Art League sets day trip to Mt. Cuba Center May 29

April 7, 2024

The Rehoboth Art League will host a day trip Wednesday, May 29, when participants can travel to Mt. Cuba Center in Hockessin and experience native mid-Atlantic foliage.

Mt. Cuba is a nonprofit botanical center featuring woodland gardens that produce some of the most spectacular displays of wildflowers in the region. The center encompasses more than 500 acres and is home to a diverse set of grounds, ranging from a lilac alleé, formal garden and south terrace to more natural gardens including a dogwood path, meadow, pond garden, west slope path, woods path and rock wall. The day trip includes a guided tour, time to roam the botanical gardens, and lunch at the institution.

Advance ticket purchase, which includes comfortable Jolly Trolley bus travel, is required. The bus will leave at 9 a.m. sharp from the Rehoboth Beach Fresh Market parking lot, with check-in beginning at 8:30 a.m. The bus will begin its return trip from Hockessin to Rehoboth at 2:30 p.m., with arrival expected by 4 p.m.

Tickets for RAL’s Mt. Cuba Center bus trip are $75 per person and may be purchased online at rehobothartleague.org or by calling 302-227-8408, Ext. 204. Space is limited, so purchasing tickets early is advised. Note that any cancellations after Monday, April 29, cannot be refunded.
