Renowned poet to lead workshop Feb. 17 at All Saints’ in Rehoboth 

Attendees will explore Poetry on the Spiritual Journey

A special presentation in the form of a Lenten retreat will be offered by renowned poet Joseph Ross from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, at All Saints' Church, 18 Olive Ave. in downtown Rehoboth Beach.

For centuries, spiritual writing has been a source of growth for many people. This presentation, offering a look at Poetry on the Spiritual Journey, is a one-day retreat and workshop open to all people. The day will offer participants the opportunity to write and read poetry along with others exploring how writing can deepen one's self-awareness and awareness of God's presence in their lives.

Ross has been a teacher at the college and high school levels for more than 35 years. He currently teaches English to high school students in Washington, D.C., and writes regularly on his website, JosephRoss.net.

Ross holds a degree in English from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and a master of divinity degree from the University of Notre Dame. Advance registration is required. A suggested donation of $20 per person will cover lunch, refreshments and other associated event costs.
