Rotary’s Empty Bowls event to support local nonprofits fighting hunger

April 11, 2024

Rehoboth Beach Sunrise Rotary will host an Empty Bowls fundraiser event from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 21, at Love Creek Elementary School, 19488 John J. Williams Highway, Lewes.

The family-friendly event was established to increase awareness about the issue of food insecurity, and 100% of donations and proceeds will go to help local organizations fight hunger.

Attendees can warm their souls with a bowl of hearty soup along with bread donated by SoDel Concepts restaurants. Guests can choose from numerous artisan-crafted bowls to take home, symbolizing those left empty by hunger.

Tickets are $30, or $40 for VIP early admission at 1:30 p.m. Children 12 and under are admitted free. To purchase tickets, go to eventbrite and search Empty Bowls.
