Tina Thurman lost 21 pounds of fat, and regained her body and confidence

April 20, 2024

Tina Thurman had never been a big person, but as she approached her 40th birthday, she wasn’t happy with her physical shape; she needed to make a change. She knew several people who had achieved great results with our 12-week body transformation but wasn’t sure it was something she could do. Eventually, her frustration turned to desperation – she decided to take action, so she called and signed up.

“As I got older, it became harder to maintain my weight, but as I approached 40, nothing seemed to work anymore; I just couldn’t lose it,” said Tina. As time passed, she gained more weight and resorted to wearing baggy clothes, but that wasn’t really a solution. “Finally, I saw a couple pictures of myself, and I didn’t recognize the person I was looking at. I had reached a point that I had promised myself I’d never get to, and I decided I would do whatever it takes to make the change.”

When Tina started the transformation program, her body responded quickly. Her previous workouts were mostly centered around cardio, so when we introduced her to proper weight training, she began to tighten up, and her metabolism staring firing on all cylinders. She soon began to feel like a different person.

“There were a couple things that I noticed immediately,” Tina said. “It was amazing to me how fast I began to feel better. The cravings quickly went away, and I had much more energy and I slept better, too.” In addition to these physical changes, Tina noticed significant changes in her daily routine. “I did so much self-discovery during this program. I used to come home after a hard day and have a glass of wine or a snack, but soon these habits were replaced with more productive ones, like playing games with the kids or taking walks with them.”

Tina consistently lost weight throughout the program, but as time passed, it became obviously she was making above-average progress. Everyone who came into contact with her noticed that she looked like a different person. When Tina finished the transformation, she had lost 21 pounds and an amazing 27% of her starting body fat. She looked lean and tight, and was able to do things in the gym that would have been impossible three months earlier.

When asked what advice she would give to anyone who would like to get in shape, Tina said, “It really is a lifestyle, and once you get a feel for it, it’s addicting. I never knew how bad I felt until I started to feel good!”

Tina’s transformation is a great example of what can be accomplished once the decision to change has been made. Although Tina was not severely overweight, participating in a program with weight training, cardio and a proper diet can make major improvements in anyone’s physical and mental health as well as appearance. Congratulations, Tina, you did an incredible job, and your story will surely inspire others to do the same.
